Incident Description

The 2026 State Fair of Texas will kick off its opening ceremony on September 25 at 6:45 p.m. on the steps of the Hall of State in Dallas’s Fair Park, featuring a special America 250 military flyover after the national anthem that includes a B-52 Stratofortress, two F-35 Lightning IIs, and an A-10 Thunderbolt II. Following the aerial display, future U.S. Air Force service members will take the Oath of Enlistment, while an HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter and other military assets remain on display near the Hall of State throughout the opening weekend of September 25–27, underscoring the fair’s “Stars, Stripes, and Howdies” theme celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary.
